First week at work!

I am living in Greenough House which is outside of Harvard Yard. The walk to the dining hall every morning takes about 5 to 7 minutes. The first week at work was pretty hectic...I wake up early to go to the gym, come back and take a quick shower, and then head down to the dining hall to eat breakfast. I take the Red Line from Harvard to Park Street and then switch to the Green Line to head to Kenmore. The whole trip takes about thirty to forty minutes including the walk to the Psychiatry Neuroimaging Lab on Boylston Street. I confess that the first few days I got lost and it took me about an hour to get to the lab, but I'm pretty used to it by now. The people at the lab are very nice and I am learning a lot about computer science and also schizophrenia. I am currently working on a project with an investigator (Zora Kikinis) looking at the volumes of the brainmasks of 25 patients with schizophrenia and 25 normal patients. I am also taking a class at Harvard Summer School called Introduction to Psychology on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8:30 pm. It is a very fun class and the teacher is also really funny. In addition, I find that a lot of the stuff we discuss during class is related with the work I am doing at the lab. It is tiring but really interesting at the same time!
